Davidoff
Grand Cru - No. 3
In 1990, Zino Davidoff launched his Dominican Republic line of cigars after he and Cubatabaco decided to end their relationship. The Grand Cru series replaces the former Cuban made Chateaux Series. The Grand Cru No. 3 is a rich, full bodied cigar with impeccable construction and a unique, complex flavor and bouquet.

PRE-SMOKE
Adorned with an attractive light brown Connecticut wrapper, this elegant cigar, with its crisp white and gold band is surely one of the most impeccably constructed cigars available. Davidoff employs only the highest standards in producing their cigars, including a hand made wrapper utilizing only one tobacco leaf. The cigar is firm throughout, with no soft spots and there are no blemishes on the wrapper. The scent is of hay fields and the cold draw is excellent.
BURN
An easy light, the cigar burned true and fine all the way, and the draw remained consistently easy.
THE FLAVOR
No initial burst of pepper occurs with this cigar, the Grand Cru elegantly reveals its flavors to the smoker in the first third. Toast, nuts, sweet hay and mild spices are blended in harmony providing the unique flavor that a Davidoff cigar is known for. A combination of Olor, San Vicente, and Piloto Cubano tobaccos is used to achieve this flavor profile, and the taste remains fairly consistent throughout the smoke. A creamy smooth, complex cigar that is a fabulous smoking experience.
