AVO Domaine 50

The Domaine AVO series of cigars was created especially for connoisseurs and enthusiasts who know how to enjoy cigars with a rich flavour. Cigars which carry conviction by their form, taste and origin, and which delight the senses.The exquisite AVO cigars are made from selected tobaccos, kept in store until they are fully mature. These contain a large proportion of a specially fermented, matured Piloto Cubano tobacco from the Dominican Republic.The binder leaf is best Olor tobacco from the Villa Gonzalez region, and a Connecticut Shade wrapper leaf provides the perfect finishing touch to the AVO cigars.

Pre-Smoke

The AVO Domaine 50 is an elegant cigar in all respects. The colorado claro wrapper is supple and creamy with small veins. The head and perfecto foot are impeccably constructed. A grassy, barnyard smell comes from the wrapper, typical of the tobacco type. The head clips cleanly and the prelight draw is excellent.

Burn

The small diameter foot lights quickly and as the burn progresses, the draw becomes more open and easy. A slow even burn leaves a somewhat flaky whitish gray ash, but also gives off boatloads of white smoke.

Flavor

The first flavors from this cigar are unexpected, a sharp pepper flavor and another spice - like cumin. The smoke is smooth and creamy and has a pleasant cedar spice aroma. As the pepper fades into a creamy, nutty flavor, the spice from the wrapper combines to create a very complex flavor palette.

This flavor combination continues into the middle of the cigar, with a persistent creaminess. The AVO is very smooth, never harsh all the way through to the nub.

The finale builds with increasing strength, and a return of the pepper and spice. This cigar is well balanced, with an elegant and classy flavor profile.
