Tempus Centuria

Dark and attractive, effortless draw.  Big, delicious flavor with balanced wood and nuts. Rich and semi-sweet smoke. Cedary, exotic spices in the cigar as well

PRE-SMOKE

A very attractive cigar, especially with that luscious chocolatey color and large ornate band.  The wrapper is gorgeous, oily, and very dark chocolate brown.

The Tempus is firm and well packed, with a few veins but no noticeable flaws in the wrapper.

A cedary secent exudes from the wrapper, along with an earthy aroma.

BURN

The cigar's burn was almost always even, the ash - light colored and kind of flaky.

THE FLAVOR

A sweet cigar from first puff to the end.  Some dried fruit flavors along with exotic spice and cedar in the beginning.  This developed into more cocoa and chocolate flavors through the first third.

The sweet cedar picks up in the second third, with the chocolate and coffee notes diminishing.

Leathery, woody flavors develop in the final third, with the cedar becoming most dominant, and less sweet.

SUGGESTED SINGLE MALT PAIRING

Aberlour a'bunadh

This is a beautiful pairing with the Tempus. The dark red fruits in the malt pair well with the dried fruit flavor in the Tempus, and the spice and cedar from the cigar carry through to the malt.

SUGGESTED CHOCOLATE PAIRING

Chuao - Picante

Dark chocolate encases a sumptuously gooey cabernet stewed fruit filling with just enough spice to stand up to the cigar. An outstanding pairing.
