The Dalmore 15 Year Old

A new core expression from the Dalmore distillery, the 15 year old has been aged in Matusalem, Apostoles and Amoroso sherry butts from Jerez de la Frontera. The result is an elegant and refined whisky with a fabulous nose and finish.

Color:  Mahogany

Nose:  Chocolate and rose jelly with developing vanilla, toffee, sherry and classic Dalmore orange.

Body:  Silky and chewy.

Palate:  Malty flavor that is well integrated with oranges, cloves, cinnamon, ginger and sherry.

Finish:  Long and nutty finish with notes of vanilla.  Interesting musty grape note at end.

ABV:  40%, yet seemingly fuller weight.

SUGGESTED CHOCOLATE PAIRING

Chuao - Gran Cacao, Morocho and  Dark Grignottine

This malt was supremely easy to pair.  For pure decadence try the dark chocolaty goodness of Gran Cacao.  Morocho brings out the fruitier aspects while the Grignottine's orange and nuts are just plain sweetly delightful.  Click on the names above to read more about each bonbon.
