Isle of Jura

Gentler than an Islay malt, but clearly with a coastal influence, this expression was matured in American White Oak in a seaside warehouse.  While comparatively delicate, the flavors have a depth and intrigue often not found in more expensive drams.  Great drink for relaxing with friends.

Color:  Golden.

Nose:  Fresh pine, sweet malt, spice and an agreeable hint of sea air.

Body:  Creamy with a pleasant oiliness.

Palate:  Citric, spices and honey slowly developing.  A malty underpinning with surprising depth of flavors.

Finish:  Rather delicate finish with sweeter vanilla notes fading to slight saltiness.

ABV:  40%

Chuao - Grignottine or Miel

The combination of citrus and carmelized nuts make the perfect sweet treat for this delightful dram, while Miel brings out the malty underpinnings.
