Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban

Northern Highlands

Its all about the cask for this luscious dram.  Matured 10 years in ex bourbon casks this spirit was finished in port casks for the wine estates or "Quintas" of Portugal.  A nice balance of sweet and dry.

Age:  No age statement.

Color:  Rich reddish gold.

Nose:  Immediate port, currants and orange.

Body:  Full

Palate:  Turkish delight, port and blood oranges.

Finish:  Long with dark ripe fruit, mint and bittersweet chocolate finish.

ABV:  46%

Awards:  SFWSC 2010 Gold Medal, 2009 Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Best of Show

Chuao - Gran Cacao, Morocho & Grignottine 

Gran Cacao hits the bittersweet spot, while Morocho accentuates the wine and fruit flavors.  Grignottine's carmelized orange and nuts covered in dark chocolate absolutely mimics Quinta Ruban's flavors.
