Bowmore 18 Year Old

Islay

One of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, Bowmore is located on the shore of Loch Indaal. Some say the sweetness of the 18 year old positively shakes the notion of a classic Islay malt.

Color:  Mahogany

Nose:  Soft fruit, malt and peat with smokiness growing over time in the glass.

Body:  Rich and full.

Palate:  Great depth of fruit, caramel, chocolate, coffee, sea, peat and smoke.

Finish:  Long, sweet and generous on the finish.

ABV: 43%

Awards:  SFWSC 2007 Best of Show.

Chuao - Gran Cacao and Java

The richness of the ganache in Gran Cacao accentuates the chocolate notes in this scotch.  The smoke and coffee notes play well with the Java bonbon.  Two excellent pairings for a very fine malt.
