Bowmore 12 Year Old |
Islay |
One of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, Bowmore is located on the shore of Loch Indaal and consistently produces a quality product. Somewhat sweeter than most Islay malts, its brand is easily distinquishable and the multiple personalities of this dram make it exciting to pair with chocolates and cigars. |

SUGGESTED CHOCOLATE PAIRINGChuao - Wild Truffle, Java, Candela & Dark GrignottineChocolate notes rise to the occasion when paired with Wild Truffle. Java's coffee flavor strikes just the right cord with the smokiness of this dram, while Candela accentuates it even further. Grignottine reverses course to the fruity flavors of this multi-personalitied spirit. SUGGESTED CIGAR PAIRINGPartagas Black Label MaximoThe youth of the Bowmore 12 gives it the strength to stand up to this full bodied cigar. With peat, vanilla, chocolate and smoke, it also has all the flavors to make this a winning combination. |
