Auchentoshan Three Wood

Three wood's rich color visually cues you to the full bodied and complex taste experience that awaits you. This triple distilled whisky was aged in Bourbon, Spanish Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximinez casks.

Age:  No age statement.

Color:  Mahogany

Nose:  Fruity aroma with twists of citrus, spice, wood and tobacco.

Body:  Full and robust.

Palate:  Persistent sherry with a wisp of smoke.  Turns fudgey in mouth with notes of toffee, roasted hazelnuts, candied orange peel and liquorice spice.

Finish:  Rich, expressive and dryer cassis finish.

ABV:  43%

Awards:  2009 SFWSC Silver Medal.

SUGGESTED CHOCOLATE PAIRING

Chuao - Morocho and Grignottine

The fudginess of this chocolate makes it an ideal mate. Layers of hazelnut praline with a touch of Calvados wonderfully enhance all the flavor notes of this favorite libation.  While Grignottine's orange nuttiness brings out another side of this wonderfully complex dram.
