Auchentoshan 21 Year Old

 Lowland

One of lowlands finest drams, Auchentoshan's triple distillation softens any of alcohol's edge to let the flavors truly shine.  This malt was matured in Bourbon and Sherry casks.

Color:  Deep amber

Nose:  Complex but refined whiffs of sherry, ripe bananas, and ginger spice.

Body:  Medium

Palate:  Beautiful harmony of green grapes, orange peel, sherry and butterscotch, balanced with an oak that is never too obtrusive.

Finish:  Very smooth but relatively short dry finish.

ABV:  43%

Chuao - Candela and Dark Grignottine

Candela's smoky spiciness and praline nuttiness make this bonbon an unlikely but heavenly match.  Grignottine accentuates the orange and butterscotch notes.
