Depending on your culinary persuasion, there is nothing better than a fine cigar or quality artisan chocolate to enhance your scotch tasting experience.  So say the creators of a new website which just launched this month of October 2009.  The aptly named "SipSmokeSavor.com" is all about pairings.  Over Sixty single malts are matched with fine cigars and bonbons, then categorized by predominate flavor palate to explain these recommendations and encourage you to experiment on your own.  Each month a "Featured Pairing" will showcase a new three way match to tempt the visitor as their catalog grows.

Additional resources include a section on food pairing, a tasting events calendar and listings of notable scotch and cigar bars worldwide.  Future plans for the website include a "Facebook-like" forum and a club membership offering special benefits for malt enthusiasts.

A sneak preview of the concept met with resounding success as 750 people avidly sampled pairings of four single malts with specific bonbons in a two day Whisky Live Event at San Francisco's Highland Games.  The booth was so popular, Sip Smoke Savor agreed to an encore and will be present at the upcoming Whisky Live Los Angeles Event on October 20, 2009.  If you cannot make it, check the calendar for other scheduled tasting events.
