The Longmorn 16 year old was matured in American White Oak Ex-Bourbon casks. It is an elegant spirit that is surprisingly full bodied
compared to the more characteristically light Speyside malts. While the majority of its liquid assets are used in blends, it spirits are much sought after by independent bottlers and enthusiasts as well.
Longmorn was founded in 1894 and is one of only a handful of distilleries that has operated continuously since their first opening. Under the current ownership of Pernod Richard Corporation and relaunch of the brand, we hope to see a wider availability in the USA.

The sensual oozy filling of this confection is a perfect compliment to the creamy, slightly oily mouth feel of this dram. Add to that the saltiness of the caramel flavor and you have a savory dimension to the pairing. Melao accentuates the lovely butterscotch notes of this dram. (click here to purchase)
