Honey sweetness mixed with a light coastal scent and whispy smoke, growing more citrusy the longer it stays in the glass.

|
Creamy with little of the expected alcohol vapors for such a high ABV.

Sweet and salty with a wonderful background of pleasant peat, that's not too dominant, yet adds a certain depth of character to this dram. Like a delicious liquid version of a honeyed menthol "cough drop" that has definite citrus notes and caramel. |

Medium long and tangy... drying to a light cedar finish.

Definitely one of the best expressions to come from Bowmore recently, this small batch release has plenty of coastal characteristics, yet is more subtle and well balanced than many of its Islay brethren. Its high ABV makes it bracing; its clean flavors make it refreshing. Tempest is unchill-filtered and aged in first fill bourbon casks.
With the success of this small batch release, we hope Bowmore "keeps them coming".

SUGGESTED CIGAR PAIRING
This combination really highlights the citrus in both leaf and malt, and is an excellent choice. The cedary sweetness of the cigar also plays well with the peat. Click here to purchase cigar.
