Encased in beautiful Ecuadorian sun-grown wrappers, the Millenium Blend is Davidoff's most full-flavored line of cigars.
Pre-Smoke Davidoff has long been known for impeccable quality and elegance, and the Millenium Blend follows that tradition. The Ecuadorian wrapper is a rich chocolate brown and is almost seamless. The white label with gold lettering contrasts beautifully with the wrapper and gives off a scent of rich tobacco and soft fruit.
After a clean clip, the pre-light draw is very good and reveals rich earth and mocha flavors.
Burn
The cigar’s burn was almost always even, the ash was whitish gray, and generally tight.
The Flavor While the base flavor of the Davidoff is nutty, rich chocolate, coffee and spice flavors intertwine to create a very complex bouquet. The smoke is very smooth and light with a medium long finish. There are some floral notes in the first third, as well as an unusual spice - cumin or saffron, which is very intriguing. An elegant beginning, unlike the more common blast of pepper occurring in Cuban style cigars.
As the blend progresses, the nuttiness increases in dominance, but never gets harsh even though the strength moves into the medium-full range. An earthy undertone appears in the mid to final stages and carries through to the end.
Ultimately, the Millenium Blend adds a richness and complexity to the Davidoff range that is in keeping with the heritage of the name.
