Dark and attractive, effortless draw. Big, delicious flavor with balanced wood and nuts. Rich and semi-sweet smoke. Cedary, exotic spices in the cigar as well.
Pre-Smoke A very attractive cigar, especially with that luscious chocolatey color and large ornate band. The wrapper is gorgeous, oily, and very dark chocolate brown.
The Tempus is firm and well packed, with a few veins but no noticeable flaws in the wrapper.
Cedary scent exudes from the wrapper, along with an earthy aroma. Well constructed head clips cleanly, and a cold draw gives a sweetish flavor.
Burn
The cigar’s burn was almost always even, the ash was light colored, and kind of flaky.
The Flavor A sweet cigar from first puff to the end. Some dried fruit flavors along with light exotic spice and cedar in the beginning. This developed into more cocoa, chocolate flavors through the first third.
The sweet cedar picks up in the second third, with the chocolate and coffee notes diminishing.
Leathery, woody flavors develop in the final third, with the cedar becoming most dominant and less sweet.
